November 2021 Listening Sessions
On behalf of the Chapter Preparation Committee, we write to invite you into pre-Chapter reflection and prayer. Last week you received via listserv a reflection on the Chapter logo and theme. We are grateful to each of you for your engagement in these pre-Chapter processes. Your insights and wisdom are invaluable to our community’s ability to step one pace beyond.
Chapter of Affairs and Election will be held October 7-12, 2022. Participation in Chapter is a process which begins now and will continue through a series of pre-Chapter reflections and meetings. The process culminates during the six days delegates and supportive participants meet next October. The Chapter offers an opportunity to consider the present reality, to recognize the current needs of the world, and to reflect on the life of foundress, Nano Nagle. The community reflects with questions, such as: “What do we hear God calling us to do? How will we renew ourselves in order to be faithful to the life of our mission and charism?”
As we formally begin pre-Chapter preparation, this Fall 2021 pre-Chapter process will provide opportunity for foundational reflection and conversation. We encourage your prayerful consideration of the enclosed materials:
