We offer full-time and part-time positions throughout the year and are currently welcoming applicants for the following positions:


Position(s) Available: Full-Time (2nd Shift)

Come join our healthcare team where you can enjoy an excellent staffing ratio in a non-regulated home environment providing care for women religious. At the Sisters of the Presentation, our employees experience a nurturing work environment committed to the values of service and hospitality. Employees maintain the comfort, privacy and dignity of sisters in the delivery of services. This a full-time position (72 hours bi-weekly). Enjoy one 30-minute paid lunch period, which is provided per 8-hour shift, in addition to 2-15 minute rest periods.


  • Provide clinical and/or leadership skills in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the nursing care delivered to each sister in Nagle Center
  • Responsible for the oversight of 1-2 nursing assistants within the nursing unit
  • Participate in providing health maintenance and management of illnesses
  • Maintain the comfort, privacy and dignity of sisters in the delivery of services


  • Must have ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Current State of Iowa nursing license or be willing to obtain licensure and be in good standing
  • Minimum one year experience in long-term health care facility helpful but not required
  • Experience with geriatric population is helpful
  • Every other weekend; every other holiday

Life Enrichment Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant

Position(s) Available: Full-Time (1st Shift, Monday-Friday)

The Life Enrichment Aide/CNA is responsible for planning varied, daily, meaningful activities, gathering supplies, coordinating and implementing those activities for the benefit of the Sisters of the Presentation. These activities are related to individual interests when possible, and designed to enhance the functioning and quality of life of the sisters.  In addition, as the CNA, performs direct nursing care activities and completes required documentation.


  • Promotes well-being through meaningful relationship building while providing support, friendship and kindness to each of the community members.
  • Plans, organizes, schedules and supervises varied activities that encourage growth in strengths and abilities of sisters and are appropriate for the individual and group needs and interests.
  • Incorporates a short session of physical activity appropriate for sisters into each day’s plan.
  • Is aware of and understands each person’s physical, emotional and cognitive ability and takes this into consideration when planning activities. 
  • Demonstrates knowledge of dementia-related disorders. 
  • Encourages maintenance and/or growth in cognitive functioning through varied activity, challenging sisters within the realm of their ability.
  • Communicates with individual sisters and engages them on a regular basis to establish and maintain rapport and to foster familiarity.
  • Generates and encourages a volunteer program through proactive recruitment and provides support for volunteers to encourage and highlight their gifts.
  • CNA Responsibilities (as detailed in the job description).

The Life Enrichment Aide/CNA must have the following:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in therapeutic recreation and/or senior activities role at a senior living, skilled, assisted living or long-term care facility required. 
  • Activities-related certification helpful.
  • Valid CNA certification and be active on the Iowa CNA registry (or willing to register).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Solid interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Good time management and organizational skills; must be able to problem solve and execute activities/programs independently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability; willingness to adapt to a changing schedule.
  • Must have a positive, enthusiastic and outgoing personality with the ability to engage others.

Dietary Aide/Dishwasher

Position(s) Available: Part-time (10-15 hours/week)

The Dietary Aide/Dishwasher is responsible for the service of the food, service to the sisters and assisting the cook with related functions in the kitchen. Responsible for daily cleaning assignments and other associated tasks related to the upkeep and maintenance of the kitchen and other areas. 

Sample duties:

  • Maintain sanitary conditions by thoroughly cleaning work areas and equipment, according to daily cleaning schedules. This may include mopping, sweeping, clearing and washing tables.
  • Prepare and carry trays to sisters. 
  • May assist cook with assembling/preparing cheese trays, etc.
  • Serve sisters in the dining room.
  • Prepare Nagle Center (skilled nursing floor/infirmary) food carts. 
  • Due to COVID-19, there may be special protocols in place for the protection of the sisters.


  • 10-15 hours bi-weekly; weekdays between 3:30–7:00 p.m. with ability to adapt to a flexible schedule; rotating weekends 7:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. or 3:30-7:00 p.m.
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and withstand heavy physical exertion (bending, stooping, and climbing).
  • Understand and follow directions, either written or oral.
  • Display initiative and good judgment.
