In Memory of Charlotte Danner

December 28, 1921 – April 27, 2020

Presentation associate, Charlotte Danner desired to share her life and spiritual journey with the Presentation Sisters as an associate and made her first commitment on June 16, 2000. In addition to having two aunts who were Presentation Sisters, Charlotte was educated by Presentation Sisters at St. Joseph School in Key West and at St. Columbkille High School in Dubuque. Charlotte’s niece, Barb Sauser, is a Presentation associate and three of her sisters, Doloras Hendricks, Mary Danner and Jean Foust, who preceded her in death, were also associates.

Charlotte was born in Farley, Iowa, and married Joseph A. Danner, Jr. on November 23, 1945, at St. Joseph Key West. She worked as a bookkeeper for 20 years for Business Supply Company. Charlotte was an active member of St. Joseph Key West Church, where she served on several boards and committees throughout her life. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America #1287 and served as grand regent, Dubuque Serra Club, Theresians of Dubuque and the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women where she served as past president. She also volunteered at Mercy Hospital, Power of Prayer, Presentation Lantern Center and Hospice of Dubuque. Family and faith were always her priorities, and Charlotte greeted everyone with a smile and kindness. We remember Charlotte with love and gratitude.
