Each grant program serves a distinct purpose. We encourage applicants to carefully review the descriptions above and apply only to the fund that best matches their request and capacity. This helps ensure a thoughtful, efficient, and mission-aligned review process for all.

The Emergency Fund provides rapid, compassionate support to individuals facing immediate crisis or urgent need.

  • Who it supports: Individuals in emergency situations
  • Typical grant size: Up to $1,500
  • Application process: Letter or email request; endorsement of a Sister of the Presentation or Associate
  • Review cycle: Rolling, reviewed weekly
  • Purpose: To respond quickly to urgent, short-term needs where immediate assistance can make a meaningful difference
  • Best for: Individuals facing immediate, urgent financial need

The Charity Fund supports small donations and event sponsorships to organizations providing direct service or relief to those in need.

  • Who it supports: Organizations seeking modest charitable donations
  • Typical grant size: Up to $1,500 (Event Sponsorship requests up to $5,000)
  • Application process: Letter or email request
  • Review cycle: Rolling, reviewed weekly
  • Purpose: To support direct service efforts that meet basic human needs, particularly for women, children, immigrants, students, and other vulnerable populations
  • Best for: small donations or sponsorships

The Community Fund supports one-time requests and specific opportunities that strengthen communities and advance our priorities.

  • Who it supports: Nonprofit organizations
  • Typical grant size: $1,500–$20,000
  • Application process: Online application portal
  • Review cycle: Monthly review by the Grants Committee
  • Purpose: Equipment purchases, training or conference expenses, consulting support, and other defined, one-time needs
  • Best for: One-time projects, equipment, or other specific opportunities

The Mission Fund provides general operating support to organizations whose ongoing work closely aligns with Presentation values and strategic priorities.

  • Who it supports: Nonprofit organizations with strong mission alignment
  • Typical grant size: $20,000 – $50,000
  • Application process: Online application portal
  • Review cycle: Twice a Year
  • Purpose: To launch, sustain, or expand programs through general operating or support that advances PBVM priorities
  • Best for: Ongoing programs aligned with PBVM priorities (general operating support)

The Legacy Fund supports transformational investments that honor the long-term vision and enduring impact of the Presentation Sisters.

  • Who it supports: Organizations with a demonstrated track record of impact, as well as an established relationship and ongoing alignment with the Sisters of the Presentation.
  • Typical grant size: $100,000 and above
  • Application process: By invitation
  • Review cycle: As needed
  • Purpose: Long-term or systemic initiatives with the potential for lasting change in areas aligned with Presentation values
  • Best for: Long-term, high-impact partnerships (by invitation only)
