About the Presentation Mission Fund
Building on a long legacy of compassionate community engagement, the Sisters of the Presentation have established the Presentation Mission Fund as a more intentional and values-driven approach to grantmaking. Inspired by the vision of their foundress Nano Nagle and grounded in Catholic Social Teaching, this approach reflects a deep commitment to advancing justice, dignity and care for our common home.
Through clearly defined values and strategic priorities, we seek to partner with individuals and organizations working to address urgent needs while also advancing long-term, systemic change. Our grant programs are designed to provide multiple pathways for engagement, supporting both immediate response and lasting impact. This page will help you explore those opportunities, identify the best fit for your work and learn how to apply.
Our Core Values
Our grantmaking is guided by the following core values:
Dignity of the Human Person
We believe every person is created in the image of God and deserves to live with dignity, safety and hope.
- We care deeply for those most vulnerable – especially women, children, and individuals experiencing poverty, displacement or marginalization – and affirm the right of all people to access education, opportunity and security.
Justice
We seek to address systemic injustice and create equitable pathways that allow individuals and communities to thrive.
- We support initiatives that promote equity, inclusion and solidarity, and that work to dismantle oppressive structures.
Care for the Earth
We recognize the interconnectedness of all life and our shared responsibility to steward creation with care.
- We support efforts that promote environmental sustainability, community safety, and the well-being of all living beings.
Strategic Grantmaking Priorities
Across all grant programs, we prioritize work that advances one or more of the following focus areas:
- Education – Expanding equitable access to quality education, especially for underserved communities
- Environmental Justice – Addressing environmental degradation, climate impact and their effects on vulnerable populations
- Food Insecurity – Ensuring dignified, reliable access to healthy food through community-centered solutions
- Housing & Homelessness – Supporting safe, stable and affordable housing, with special concern for families and women
- Immigration – Protecting the dignity, safety and rights of immigrant communities
- Indigenous Peoples – Honoring Indigenous leadership, cultures and self-determination
