2017 Associate Commitment

This week we had our first associate commitment ceremony over a video conference call. Robert Mace began the journey to associate partnership initially as a prayer partner with Sister Dolores Moes, who subsequently agreed to serve as Robert’s mentor through the associate orientation process. Since Robert lives in Florida, he and Sister Dolores communicated via email as they studied and discussed the prayer and apostolic lives of the Sisters of the Presentation, Presentation heritage and the Presentation charism and mission.

Robert writes: “I was attracted to associate partnership as a means of adding an additional dimension to my prayer and spiritual life. I am inspired by the legacy of unparalleled courage and love of Venerable Nano Nagle for her God and humanity, especially the most oppressed and forgotten ones in her beloved Ireland. In a real sense, the Associate Partnership would be a life-affirming fiat, my “yes” to God, the “yes” that the Blessed Virgin articulated in her prayer and life as she strived to follow her Lord and God.”
