Position(s) Available: Full-time
The Sisters of the Presentation are looking for a director of facilities to oversee the maintenance, repair and overall upkeep of the buildings, grounds and physical infrastructure of the Sisters of the Presentation to ensure a clean, safe and functional environment for sisters, employees and guests. This position reports to the executive director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and direction to the maintenance, housekeeping, reception and transportation departments, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service.
- Directs, supervises and participates in the maintenance of all buildings and grounds including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and utility.
- Ensures the upkeep of landscaping, sidewalks, parking areas, yards and all outdoor spaces.
- Oversees construction projects, renovations and facility upgrades, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and in compliance with regulations.
- Develops and manages the facilities budget, coordinates with vendors and oversees contracts.
- Establishes and oversees a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize equipment failure.
- Tracks and maintains the Sisters of the Presentation vehicles, ensuring they are serviced, inspected, and meet all safety and operational requirements.
- Works closely with other departments to address facility needs and ensure a comfortable and functional living environment for sisters, including set-up and tear-down for events and moving of furnishings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a healthcare, assisted living or religious community setting.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including excellent communication skills.
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC systems.
- Ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts.
- Computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Position(s) Available: Full-time
The Sisters of the Presentation are seeking a director of vital living to oversee the health and well-being of the sisters. This position manages departments such as nursing, food service, cosmetology, activities and wellness while working closely with liturgy and pastoral care to ensure the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs of sisters are met. This role plays a crucial part in fostering a holistic approach to resident care and reports to the executive director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as a key advocate for sisters’ holistic health needs, ensuring a person-centered approach to care.
- Supervises director of nursing, life enrichment coordinator, cosmetologist and director of food service, ensuring alignment with the mission and values of the Sisters of the Presentation.
- Works closely with pastoral care and liturgist to ensure the spiritual needs of all residents are met, incorporating faith-based support into overall wellness initiatives.
- Develops and implements programs that promote social engagement, cognitive stimulation, and overall quality of life.
- Monitors and assesses the effectiveness of programs, activities and wellness initiatives, making improvements as necessary.
- Evaluates and enhances activity offerings based on resident feedback and best practices in senior living.
- Develops and manages budgets for wellness programs, activities and relevant departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Gerontology, Social Work, or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, or a related setting.
- Strong understanding of wellness programming, holistic care, and geriatric needs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the Sisters of the Presentation.
- Experience with budget management and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Computer proficiency, including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet and electronic calendars (i.e. Google Calendar) and point click care software.

Position(s) Available: Full-time
The Sisters of the Presentation are looking for a Communications and Administrative Assistant to join our team. This full-time role is divided equally between providing administrative support to the congregational leadership team and serving as a communications assistant to the Director of Communication. This position requires a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and independence in problem-solving.
Communications
- Assist in creating, designing, writing, and editing materials for the communications department.
- Collaborate with other departments to produce the necessary communication materials for their areas.
- Provide administrative support for the Director of Communication.
- Write engaging content and proofread all written content for errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling, ensuring readability and style consistency.
- Maintain and update the website and social media platforms to increase engagement.
- Capture photos, videos, and stories at events to promote our mission.
- Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels.
Administrative Assistant
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the leadership team, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and materials, and recording and distributing minutes.
- Manage correspondence and communication on behalf of the leadership team (e.g. reports, requests, notes, information flyers, etc.)
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Maintain and manage physical and digital records and files.
- Assist with special projects and events as directed.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 2-3 years of experience in administrative support and/or communications roles required.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with strong knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and proofreading rules.
- High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and independence in problem-solving
- Computer proficiency, including Adobe Creative Cloud (especially InDesign and Photoshop), Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, content management systems, video editing, and social media platforms.
- Understand and respect the mission and values of the Sisters of the Presentation.
Position(s) Available: Part-time, 2nd Shift (2 p.m. – 10 p.m.)
- Promote well-being through meaningful relationship building while providing support, friendship and kindness to each of the community members.
- Provide maintenance and restorative care services in an appropriate, competent, compassionate manner to assist and empower sisters.
- In order to assist sisters with daily living, health and wellness, this position requires a positive, caring, relational disposition; an interest in the well-being of others; the ability to organize work, establish priorities and perform tasks accurately, neatly and thoroughly while managing time effectively.
- Maintain the comfort, privacy and dignity of sisters in caregiving responsibilities.
Position(s) Available: Part-time, 2nd Shift (2 p.m. – 10 p.m.)
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical and/or leadership skills in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the nursing care delivered to each sister in Nagle Center.
- Responsible for the oversight of 1-2 nursing assistants within the nursing unit and Mount Loretto.
- Participate in providing health maintenance and management of illnesses.
- Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of sisters in the delivery of services.
- Must have ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Requirements
- Current State of Iowa nursing license, in good standing.
- Minimum one year experience in long-term health care facility, preferred.
- Part-time – every Monday (2 p.m. – 10 p.m.); 16 hours per pay period.
