We offer full-time and part-time positions throughout the year and are currently welcoming applicants for the following positions:

The Sisters of the Presentation are a community of women religious and associates committed to living our charism of radical hospitality. We are looking for a Director of Community Life to foster and promote the Presentation charism of hospitality for sisters, staff, and guests. This position will report directly to the Executive Director and will be responsible for the overall management of facilities and services on campus to ensure a home-like environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate food service, housekeeping, and maintenance departments to ensure efficient operations and a comfortable living environment.
  • Plan and organize community events such as jubilees, annual Christmas parties, and other special gatherings. Facilitate regular meetings, activities, and communications to foster a sense of community among sisters and staff.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets for operations and capital projects, approve departmental purchases, and ensure financial accountability.
  • Oversee the use and maintenance of facilities, ensuring they remain functional and welcoming.
  • Coordinate the use of facilities by internal and external groups, including scheduling rooms and lodging, and enhance the ambiance through the upkeep of furnishings and grounds.
  • Work closely with the executive director to address campus needs and support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years in administrative/management roles.
  • Experience with facilities management preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic calendars.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

 

Position(s) Available: Part-time, 2nd Shift (2 p.m. – 10 p.m.)

  • Promote well-being through meaningful relationship building while providing support, friendship and kindness to each of the community members.
  • Provide maintenance and restorative care services in an appropriate, competent, compassionate manner to assist and empower sisters.  
  • In order to assist sisters with daily living, health and wellness, this position requires a positive, caring, relational disposition; an interest in the well-being of others; the ability to organize work, establish priorities and perform tasks accurately, neatly and thoroughly while managing time effectively.
  • Maintain the comfort, privacy and dignity of sisters in caregiving responsibilities.

Position(s) Available: Part-time

This position is responsible for the service of the food, service to the sisters (women religious) and assisting the cook with related functions in the kitchen.

Responsible for providing service to the sisters and assisting the cook in daily tasks, including preparing and carrying trays, serving sisters, preparing food carts, cleaning, etc.

Requirements:

  • 10-15 hours bi-weekly; weekdays between 3:30 pm–7:00 pm with ability to adapt to a flexible schedule; every other weekend and every other holiday
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and withstand heavy physical exertion (bending, stooping, and climbing).
  • Understand and follow directions, either written or oral.
  • Display initiative and good judgment

Position(s) Available: Part-time, 2nd Shift (2 p.m. – 10 p.m.)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical and/or leadership skills in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the nursing care delivered to each sister in Nagle Center.
  • Responsible for the oversight of 1-2 nursing assistants within the nursing unit and Mount Loretto.
  • Participate in providing health maintenance and management of illnesses.
  • Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of sisters in the delivery of services.
  • Must have ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

Requirements

  • Current State of Iowa nursing license, in good standing.
  • Minimum one year experience in long-term health care facility, preferred.
  • Part-time – every Monday (2 p.m. – 10 p.m.); 16 hours per pay period.
